Deluxe 8 strand  braided leads are crafted over a strong nylon core. Each  nylon end is melted and stitched to the handle or around the clip end with strong waxed nylon sting. Then over braided and coverd with a matching leather knot braid for total security. 
The 12" is handy for tall dogs, going to the line ,close in for traffic or vet visits and easily put in a pocket or bag. Nickle or brass clip depending on availability.
